Montreal - Wednesday, January 12, 2022

Last  winter five elementary schools – Merton in Côte Saint-Luc, Royal Vale in NDG, Edinburgh in Montreal West, Gardenview in St. Laurent and East Hill in RDP - were part of a very successful Kindergarten Registration pilot project to reserve spots online. The goal was to avoid long lineups and parents camping outside in the days preceding this period.

Based on the success of the pilot project, the English Montreal School Board has announced that it plans to bring the number of schools up to nine, with the additions being Willingdon Elementary School in NDG, Roslyn Elementary School in Westmount and Honoré Mercier and Pierre de Coubertin Elementary Schools in St. Leonard.

Reservations for spots will begin at 7 am Monday, January 24, 2022 at www.emsb.qc.ca/reserve.  Kindergarten Registration Week will be January 31 to February 4, 2022. Parents will only need to fill out a form that will be available at the main EMSB website and those from the participating schools. Each reservation will be time stamped. School administrations will subsequently validate the information before making appointments. All of the other schools will continue to have registration in person the week of January 31 to February 4, 2022.
